Choosing the Colonial Lodge Motel for my stay in Oamaru turned out to be a great decision. The room I had, a One-Bedroom Apartment, met my expectations with its cleanliness and spacious layout. The lack of road noise was a pleasant surprise, allowing for a restful night. I appreciated the thoughtful design that seemed to minimize any noise from adjacent units, ensuring a peaceful atmosphere. there was a minor irritation. the toilet had a noisy cistern, though simply closing the bathroom door solved the problem. I loved the convenient location near central Oamaru and the Victorian Quarter, which made exploring easy. A good spot overall, but there's room for enhancement in soundproofing. a solid experience and worth considering for future visits.

Unfortunately, some of the power points in our room didn't work, which was a bit inconvenient. On top of that, the shower's water pressure was disappointingly weak, leaving us with underwhelming experiences during bath time. better signage about available facilities would have made our stay more enjoyable as we unaware of the laundry room on the property and ended up searching elsewhere.

staying at this cozy spot was great, as I could easily walk to the Victorian Precinct and find serene views at Oamaru's gardens, making my weekend so enjoyable and filled with exploration.

The Two-Bedroom apartment was super cozy and clean, making my family feel right at home. We enjoyed unwinding in the lovely garden area and had a blast on the small playground. The only little hiccup was that some of the power points didn’t seem to work, but it didn’t really bother us. 😊

It was just a suitable option for a quick break in Oamaru with great value for money. I appreciated that the room was well-supplied with everything I needed for my stay, making it quite comfortable. Try to get a room away from the main road for less noise.
